Coventry Crafts at Coventry Cathedral

Craft & Flea is a returning to Coventry on Saturday 12th December for a festive twist on the traditional makers market. The stunning cathedral will be filled with the best local producers, makers, curators, designers and creatives of Coventry. 

Pledge to shop small this Christmas and really support small independent businesses who need it now more than ever! 

With numerous Covid safety measures in place, shoppers can safely browse over 40 stalls offering products ranging from illustration to jewellery, artwork to childrenswear, vintage homeware to artisan food. There is quite literally something for everyone on your Christmas list! 

As a new spin on the makers’ market, stalls have been handpicked based on their quality, on-trend products. At Craft & Flea, the region’s best creators and collectors are all under one roof. 

Emma Ward, Craft & Flea organiser said: “2020 has been a rollercoaster of a year and we’re really looking forward to holding a Christmas event for all to safely enjoy. We really want to encourage consumers to shop with small independent businesses this Christmas. 

“It’s not your typical craft fair – everyone is bringing specially selected products that are really popular right now. Plus the cathedral is a beautiful building and a great setting to exhibit our skilled local craftspeople.”

Safety of customers and traders is our highest priority and numerous safety measures are in place, including mandatory face coverings (unless exempt), regular hand sanitizing stations, social distancing measures and timed ticketed entry to manage numbers. Tickets are capped in hourly sessions and are available to purchase online at buytickets.at/craftandflea. Walk-ups are allowed on the day, however pre-booking tickets is highly recommended. 

Doors open at 11am and the event runs until 5pm. Entry fee £2.50; under 12’s free.

Coventry Cathedral ruins ice skating event going ahead.

From Friday 4th December 2020 to Sunday 10th January 2021 Coventry Cathedral Ruins will host Coventry Glides. Outdoor ice skating in Coventry. 

From this Friday, the Coventry Cathedral Ruins will transform into a spectacular settings for a magical winter wonderland festive ice-skating rink.  Have some winter fun (in your household bubble).

Book a daytime skate in the glorious winter sun, or come in the evening and take in the beautifully lit historical surroundings. 

Book now on the ticket factory website. (Suitable for ages 5+). Tickets from £5 (limited availability) and  Tickets are on-sale now 

Visit terms and conditions of sale page for additional information. Skate hire is included in the ticket price.

Coventry Glides will go ahead under Tier 3 Covid-19 restrictions, in line with national regulations. It means that, up until the possible revision of the Tier system on 16 December, the event will now only admit audiences from Coventry, Warwickshire, and Solihull.

If the event is unable to go ahead, ticket holders will be contacted and given a full refund. Location Address : Priory Street/St Michaels Avenue, Coventry CV1 5RN.

With the skydome still currently closed, the Coventry Cathedral ruins ice skating is great news for local residents. The Coventry Skydome is an indoor ice skating venue with 3000 seats, home to the Coventry Blaze that opened in 1999. The venue hosts a number of ice skating activities.
