the weekly sports roundup
well, Lisa, she’s right you’re gonna get no with no charm here just just for how am I going to start with football.
Going to talk about football, just a real
got to talk about that day yes we have
this time last week less to travel to Liverpool for the match everybody assumed Liverpool we’re going to win and go seven points clear but Lester weren’t in the game for that and they drew one one which actually unless there was an excellent result disappointing deliverable but thank you for Lester then full program the weekend wolves went to Everton an average and season continues to go from bad to worse and Wolverhampton beat them three one was less return were beaten one nil by Manchester United who are completely resurgent since Ali Golisano What’s it took over his you
know not he’s not very Nordic me in the championship beryllium at home beat Nottingham Forest to nil stone.
Quinta Holland were beaten to nail so the new managers not getting a lot of luck there. Aston Villa went to reading and drew nil nil and I think there’s only one two games now since the young lad was injured and he’s not going back for another four weeks we’ll wait and see whether he makes a difference. West Brom last at home doodles were
middle of rural county that brilliant because Newport county knocked him out of the copy of the night
don’t we went to Preston and another Neil Neil draw there’s a lot of that button been in league one at home drew male male we documented
it would appear the goals have been boarded up
there’s such an exciting game
Coventry at home drew one one with Julie GM but we’ve got a report from Sarah yesterday the sky blues to congealing on tan the Rico two things Firstly, I
I’m recording this on Sunday morning and the deep set permafrost curtsy. The Ricoh arena has just about be going to Thor at my gosh at places are called bomb still, at least we’ve got a grand at the moment. Secondly, listeners may remember that last week I said I’ll be reporting on our last to Julian tan well I’m pleased to say I’m not it was a draw but you’re here why felt like enough
it was not sure we say what I would call the beautiful game it was quite scrappy, lack of formation and a half time it was nail nail
on the 16th minute a superb, almost end to end run by our Loney from Wolverhampton echo bakari and I do hope I pronounced that correctly so I am just pass tobacco tobacco our one of our strikers to head to
Only it didn’t. It rebounded off the goalkeeper. Fortunately, Echo bakari was on hand or on foot, shall we say to smash it into the net
one nil up city
on the 83rd minute it’s so nearly was to now when some super passing by Luke Thomas alone he from Darby county to Becky Echo, saw him absolutely sure to score from about two meters out. Unfortunately, he put it just wide of the goal of math,
we knew there was only one way that we’re going to score it wasn’t going to be an open play was going to be through a penalty and sure enough, that came on the 88th minute when our goalkeeper LIBOR to otherwise that had a fantastic match
was a judge to about one of their players in the box. And so it’s been
Come she won, she won.
She says that she enjoyed it
was all the time were beaten to one by Rochdale. My word Northampton at home on the other hand were beaten four nil by Colchester, Russia Rochdale playing country next weekend
you know agile setup
we’re waiting to see
lemming tunes match with Bradford and an eight and burrows match. Actually we’re both postponed due to frozen ground
the same went for Tamworth in the sticks and premier Central Division was bed with did manage to blame got beaten one nil but they we should have been frozen
last night. There were some more football
played some FA Cup fourth round replays and you know you probably won’t remember shows rude held walls to a draw in the original match in fact with to deal with any of that 15 minutes to go was managed to pull it back and is able to draw on last night they go wolves originally went in the lead but then Treasury came back
equalized and then went in the lead but was one three too
close to the end the other one is I mentioned Newport county not Middlesborough Newport county in Ligue two and middle of during the championship.
So Newport county want to nail the goalkeeper ran off the pitch at the end because they had to get the hospital because his wife had given birth to twins during
during the second half apparently it was born at the same time there’s Newport county scored their first goal
so they for me
That I didn’t check on it. They told us on the radio today. good, solid all more in the build a base FA trophy third round away at Hemel Hempstead Warner five, nil we can’t do that we’ll talk about the
Six Nations started on Friday or first match was wild playing France in Paris
take whales were asleep in the first yeah Paris French were 16 long up at half time. And deservedly so. Yeah. What else whales report I couldn’t watch anymore because the wife wanted to watch something else
the mind I’m pleased about that costs otherwise other watch whales come from beyond to win 2419 and that would have really upset me
but apparently an amazing turnaround.
England went to Ireland Saturday afternoon.
Ireland Of course one six nation yeah last year and England finished fifth thousand six
but we we played with amazing intensity but it was a team effort okay they picked him out of the match and it couldn’t understand why they picked them and they did but really the whole team played out and not only sad thing and we we won 3220 but the only side thing knees he told me his act injured but in fact you didn’t notice that he got off course Courtney laws okay money place was absolutely outstanding but the Irish were really put out because we’d scored a try and converted in the first two minutes yes just unbelievable. Yeah it was it was absolutely wonderful game to watch but move shredding if I’m
and I spent a lot of time screaming at the TV as you do.
But it was worth it we did extremely well Scotland beat Italy 3320 but they dropped off in the second yes I did
in the first half of them in Scotland got their songs in the second year they seem to assume it was all it was all over but let’s quickly back into feel good about it in the Premiership cup which is a funny guy competition but wasps went to Western were beaten 3523 as a result was the are through to the finals section on will play Saracens that’ll be an interesting much and then bar had there’s postponed yes twice but then then they’re not not qualified but they
mail it. Gloucester
nowhere but up but so but but they’d be close to 52 now copy went to London Irish will be in 2717,
so neither things
Well no it isn’t really so the next round starts again on Saturday Scotland play Ireland
on the night Italy play Wales and on the Sunday England play France at tweak it almost three o’clock
second test has taken place in the Caribbean wasn’t much of a test for the West Indies, England’s first cities all hundred 97 obviously it was a bad picture of all over the place. It’s very difficult to play. West Indies batted and got 306 it was obviously a different pitch think second innings we were all over 132 so we’re back on the bad pitch again I think it’s unfair the way they keep moving over
on the West Indies got the 70 euros I need you to win for the loss of know wickets I see they kept in Mr. Holder has been found for one match apparently for slow rate of play all over the test.
Which I have read only three days to good job the world playing quickly. Yeah, she would have been for about two
weeks for the only time I ever went to sleep during the day. Was it a cricket match?
Yes. I think just about brings us to the end of this show. So join us again soon.

She sang songs to a backing track and she had five dances to and she’s 60 the same as me before children. That’s mad. I have I haven’t got four children. Not yet anyway, but there weren’t many people there but the Belgrade match did a great job and got people dancing.

Thank you to Galen Graham and well done from a funny song to a funny site sensations or maybe not so funny. Linda Hall of the creative writing class has written the article entitled Charles Bonnie strikes again before I had a name for the condition I experienced a range of let’s call them or goings on my particular I condition is called diabetic retinopathy. I shall not go into the diagnosis nor the long treatment that it entails after prolong laser treatment. My usable vision was limited but I could manage very gradually I found
Strange things creeping into everyday life mostly when it got dark so I was unable to make sense of well was beautiful days is appeared turquoise delicately edged in bright pink enough to make a respectable daisy chain.
This went on for many months then a notice that was suddenly became coveting lighting most annoying was that although it was clearly in English it made no sense I was beginning to believe I’d lost my marbles a trip to the hospital almost had me convince my next residence will be at Hatton. I lay in bed one night half awake when I noticed that the blue curtains around the beds opposite me had become heavy brown satin drapes definitely not NHS issue was pondering this strange change in hospital policy, a nurse appeared from behind the bay opposite
Not at all. Strange. We were in hospital after all. Well, yes, he was rather strange dressed in a uniform, probably used in the First World War. She had one arm and no head. She drifted silent the out to the ward and the drapes move quietly back into position. Being a curious topic person, I went to the nurse’s station and announced to several stunned medical staff. Is this hospital haunted. The look on their faces was priceless. They looked at me, then my drug chart, and the system led me back to my bed, and when it was settled, very commonly asked, What makes you think we’re haunted, Mrs. Hall? I gathered my thoughts and replied, wealth was start. You’ve put brown satin drapes on the bay opposite me and the nurse came out. I didn’t like her. She only had one arm and no head. The sister smiled,
patted my arm and move.
Way saying try and have a nice sleep. I replied. Okay, but let’s still think this place is haunted. The encounters kept coming getting more bizarre as a condition progressed I kept most of them from my immediate family convinced I was in the early stages of some exotic form of dementia. When a to regular I screening at the hospital, I casually mentioned some of the funnier aspects of my eye condition. Ah, you have Charles Bonnie syndrome. Mrs. Whole I could have kiss the man wasn’t going mad at all. In fact, I had quite a common side effect of that pesky retinopathy thingy. Please, not my consummate ease with all technical terms. Now I had a name for that condition. I was able to Google it and I found some very useful leaflets from the Resource Center. The more I learned, the more I realize that not enough information is made easily
available so we haven’t no sound the people who have this syndrome are living in fear of having serious mental issues Linda whole 2019 Thank you Linda so tell us of your experiences with Charles been a syndrome next week Linda will be telling you in our own voice how they creative writing course the Resource Center on Mondays between one 3pm that’s helped her
finally Graham well gives you some information and a suicide dementia sadly for some time well I can confirm it will be in a care home is from the third of February. So anybody trying to contact on a home number or old Oh number?
Well, she’s not been answering it anyway for this last two or three years. So it doesn’t really make any difference I suppose.
But I thought I’d let people know that she is no no.
